The material transfer system is one of the most important parts of the Bahabad pellet factory, which is responsible for the continuous and safe transfer of raw materials and products in all production stages. In this project, the design, construction, supply and installation of a material transfer system with a capacity of 4 million tons per year has been carried out in order to meet the needs of production lines for continuous transfer of materials with maximum efficiency and minimal operational downtime.

The implementation of this system has included engineering design, manufacturing of metal equipment, installation of structures, assembly of mechanical equipment and performance tests. All the equipments are designed and built considering the hard working conditions, high wear, continuous loading and operation requirements in mining and steel industries to ensure stable performance and long life of the system.

In the installation stages, using specialized equipment and experienced executive forces, assembly operations, equipment alignment, mechanical installation and system start-up have been carried out in accordance with international standards. The successful implementation of this project has played an important role in increasing production capacity, reducing line stoppages, improving process efficiency and safe transfer of materials in the Bahabad pellet factory, and it shows the ability to implement large projects of material transfer in the steel and mining industries.
Design, manufacture and installation of 23 industrial conveyors

In this project, 23 industrial conveyors with widths of 600 to 1200 mm and lengths of 10 to 600 meters have been designed, manufactured and installed. As the main material transfer equipment in the factory, these conveyors are responsible for the continuous transfer of iron ore, pellets and other process materials between different production departments.

In the design process, all technical parameters such as transmission capacity, belt movement speed, loading conditions, material type, track slope, environmental conditions and maintenance requirements have been examined. Then the metal structures, chassis, supporting structures, rollers and peripheral equipment are manufactured and ready to be installed according to industrial standards.

The installation operation included assembling structures, installing mechanical equipment, adjusting and aligning rollers, installing belts, starting drive systems and performing functional tests. The accurate implementation of this set has made the material transfer system with minimum depreciation, maximum reliability and high efficiency to be put into operation. This project is an example of technical ability in the implementation of large-scale material transfer systems and current standards of mining and steel industries.
Basic and detailed design of material transfer system

One of the most important parts of this project has been the basic design and detailed design of the material transfer system up to the stage of complete preparation of workshop construction plans. The design of this complex has been done for equipment with a transfer capacity of 32 to 2367 tons per hour, and all engineering calculations, selection of equipment and preparation of executive documents have been done in accordance with international standards.

In the basic design stage, line capacity, transfer routes, equipment specifications, system placement, preliminary calculations and material transfer method selection are checked and then in the detailed design stage, all construction, assembly, installation plans, executive details, material list and documents required for equipment production are prepared.

The use of specialized engineering software, structural analysis, static and dynamic load analysis, equipment design according to operating conditions, and complete coordination between mechanical, structural and electrical departments have been among the features of this part of the project. The accurate preparation of workshop construction plans has increased the quality of construction, reduced execution errors, accelerated installation operations and reduced project costs, and has played an important role in the success of the implementation of the material transfer system of the Bahabad pellet factory.
Providing mechanical equipment for the material transfer system

In this project, the supply of the main equipment of the material transfer system including engine, gearbox, coupling and steel conveyor belts from reliable European and Chinese manufacturers has been done. The selection of this equipment is based on the technical requirements of the project, transfer capacity, operating conditions, reliability and durability in harsh industrial conditions to ensure the stable performance of material transfer lines.

In the supply process, the technical specifications of all the equipment were carefully checked and the products were selected from reputable brands with international standards. Industrial engines with high efficiency, gearboxes suitable for transferring heavy loads, couplings resistant to mechanical stresses and conveyor belts with high resistance to wear, tear and environmental conditions are among the most important equipment provided in this project.

After the supply, all the equipment has been subjected to quality control, technical inspection and compliance with the design specifications, and then installed and commissioned at the project site. The use of high-quality and standard equipment has increased system reliability, reduced maintenance costs, increased useful life of equipment, and improved the efficiency of material transfer lines. This part of the project shows the ability to manage the supply chain of industrial equipment, cooperation with international suppliers and the implementation of large projects in the steel and mining industries.

Bahabad pelletizing material transfer system
The Bahabad Pelletizing Plant Project is one of the country's major steel industry development initiatives, implemented to strengthen the steel production value chain by supplying high-quality pellets to direct reduction plants and increasing overall pellet production capacity. The project involved a comprehensive range of engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities carried out by specialized engineering and industrial teams.
Within the material handling scope, the design, procurement, and fabrication of Parts II and III of the Material Handling System were completed to ensure the safe, continuous, and efficient transportation of raw materials throughout different sections of the plant. In addition, the fabrication of equipment such as slide gates, rod gates, steel hoppers, and transfer chutes played a vital role in controlling material flow, optimizing material distribution, and improving production line efficiency.
In the environmental protection section, the project included the procurement and fabrication of Bag Filter accessories as well as the auxiliary components for two Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP). These systems were designed to minimize environmental emissions, enhance filtration efficiency, and ensure compliance with industrial and environmental standards. Furthermore, protective coating systems were applied to the project's steel structures to improve corrosion resistance, withstand harsh operating conditions, and extend the service life of the equipment.
One of the project's most significant scopes was the engineering, procurement, and fabrication of the pellet induration furnace and its chimney, which serve as the core of the pellet hardening process. In addition, the design, detailing, procurement, and fabrication of the specialized Indurating Steel Work for Parts III and IV were carried out in accordance with engineering standards and project technical specifications, providing the structural framework required to support the major process equipment.
During the final stage of the project, transportation, installation, and commissioning of the equipment and structural components were executed through detailed planning and strict adherence to safety requirements, enabling the entire facility to be integrated into operational service.
The successful execution of these activities has ensured the reliable performance of the material handling and processing systems while significantly increasing production capacity, reducing operational downtime, improving overall plant efficiency, and supporting the strategic development of the national steel industry. This project demonstrates extensive expertise in delivering large-scale industrial and mining projects, encompassing engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning under EPC execution standards.
